Ignorance is Bliss

and Knowing is a Burden

Well...I finally managed to kick myself into gear and did something not designs XD

When I first saw the 's contest of creating black adn white spirits...I was interested right off teh bat...and I have actully quite a few ideas in my head...

Anyways, these are my cat (more specifically Egyptian Mau) spirits of Knowing and Ignorance, and teh burdens that come with both.

Ahura, derived from Ahura Mazda which is persian means wise spirit, is the white spirit of knowing, and unlike his partner he is completely aware of teh world around him. His body is torn and scarred from seeing and living through wars, he is thin because he is well aware of teh famines through teh world, and his coat is very coarse and tattered yet because h knows so much he has begun to go blind to teh world closest around him, seeing only teh distant and far troubles and not always teh ones right under his nose. Because of this as well he can be harsh and untrusting,beliving everyone is an enemy.

-When doing Ahura's markings I tried to make them look as if he was crying since he is so awae of all teh disasters in the world I imagine he cries a lot. The diamon-like marking on his head is closed because he is so untrusting he perfers to be alone.

Sachiko, which is happy child in Japanese, is the black spirit of ignorance. Her eyes are forever closed so she is unable to see teh darkness and trouble within the very world around her.Compared to Ahura she is also pump and soft to teh touch. Her name is ver fitting,bcause she is so isolated from teh troubes of teh world around her she is never brought down by tragedies or war. Like a child she is able to see what is good in life, and also like a child she si very trusting and not judgemental.

-When doing ehr markings I tried to give Sachiko a smile-like marking on ehr muzzle but it didnt look too good XD. I kept her eyemarkigns to look as if they ahd sealed her eyes shut. The marking on ehr forehead is open since she is such a friendly character
